How to use the free online voice translator

01

Choose two languages

Select the language you speak and the language you want to hear. Swap them whenever you want to translate in the other direction.

02

Pick your translation mode

Choose live translation to hear speech as you talk, or record a short message and translate it when you finish.

03

Speak and hear the translation

Complete the security check, allow microphone access, and speak clearly. Read the translated words or listen to the AI-generated voice.

An online voice translator you can hear, not just read

Choose the language you speak and the language you want to hear, then use your microphone to translate a spoken message. You can follow the original words, read the translation, and hear an AI-generated voice. Try an introduction, a customer question, or a phrase for your next trip. This is a one-person browser preview: it lets you experience translated listening before bringing other people into a meeting.

Which voice translation mode should you choose?

Choose “Translate while speaking” to hear short translated segments as you talk. It is a useful way to preview how a listener experiences MeetBridge; allow for a delay between speaking and hearing the translation. Choose “Translate when finished” for a complete thought: record up to 30 seconds, then press “Finish & translate”. Replay the result or copy its text. Both modes use the same five-minute allowance, including connection and processing time.

Take the experience into your next meeting

This page translates one speaker into one selected language. In a MeetBridge meeting, participants choose the language they want to hear, so a team or customer conversation can move beyond a single demonstration. If your calls already happen in Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, explore MeetBridge Voice for Mac and Windows to use live voice translation alongside those calls. Choose the meeting experience that fits where you already work.

Explore live translation

Three small changes for a clearer translation

Use headphones for live mode

Keep the translated voice out of your microphone. Choose a quiet place and speak at your normal volume, close enough for your microphone to hear you clearly.

Speak in complete, short thoughts

Pause naturally between sentences. In record mode, finish one idea within 30 seconds rather than rushing several topics into the same message.

Be specific with names and details

Say names, dates and numbers clearly. If a phrase sounds wrong, try a simpler sentence and compare the translated text with what you meant.

Try it with a conversation that matters to you

A customer introduction

Introduce yourself and explain why you are calling. Try: “I’d like to learn more about your team’s goals for this project.” Hear how your opening sounds in the customer’s language.

Language practice

Say a sentence you already understand, read its translation, then replay the voice. Compare the wording and rhythm before trying a different way to express the same idea.

A travel question

Practise a specific request, such as “Is there a quiet table for two available at seven?” A short, complete question makes it easier to see how the meaning travels between languages.

Free voice translator: frequently asked questions

Is this voice translator free?

Yes. Both modes are available without creating an account, with up to five minutes of use per 24-hour period, subject to available demo capacity. Connection, recording and processing count toward the allowance; generated speech duration also counts if it exceeds the connection time. Switching modes uses the same allowance.

Can I hear the translation while I speak?

Yes. Choose “Translate while speaking” to hear translated speech as you talk. Translation arrives in short segments and can have a delay. Headphones help keep the translated audio out of your microphone.

How does translating after speaking work?

Choose “Translate when finished”, record a message of up to 30 seconds, and press “Finish & translate”. The tool processes your message, displays its translation, and plays the translated voice.

Which languages can I translate?

The two language menus show the available speech languages, including English, Turkish, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic. Select two different languages; use the swap button when you want to reverse the direction. The language of this page does not change which speech languages are available.

Do I need to install an app or create an account?

No. This tool runs in a modern browser with microphone access and an internet connection. If your browser cannot capture audio, try an up-to-date version of Chrome, Edge, or Safari.

Does MeetBridge save this tool’s recordings?

This tool does not save your audio or transcripts in MeetBridge. Speech is sent for recognition and translation, and the translated voice is generated by AI. Read our voice processing information for details about handling speech.

Can I restart to get another five minutes?

Refreshing the page or opening another tab does not reset the allowance. Browser and network limits help prevent abuse, and one translation session can run at a time. People using the same network may share the free limit.

Why can’t I hear the translated voice?

Check your device volume, audio output and the mute button on the listener panel. For live mode, use headphones and leave a natural pause after a sentence. If recording will not start, allow microphone access in your browser and check that another app is not using the microphone.

Can translation arrive with a delay or contain mistakes?

Yes. Live translation arrives in segments and can have a delay. Noise, accents, overlapping speech and unclear names can affect the result. Speak clearly, check the text, and rephrase a sentence if the translation does not match what you meant.

How is this different from MeetBridge and MeetBridge Voice?

This free page previews one speaker and one target language in your browser. MeetBridge is the meeting experience where participants choose their own listening language. MeetBridge Voice is the Mac and Windows app for live voice translation alongside Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls.
